Landlord & Tenant Disputes

Landlord and tenant matters are governed by the Landlord and Tenant Board. The role of the Landlord Tenant Board is to resolve disputes between landlords and tenants through mediation or adjudication, resolve eviction applications from co-ops and provide information to landlords and tenants about their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancy Act.

Small Claims Matters

The Small Claims Court is a division of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice that handles any action for payment or recovery of property when the amount claimed does not exceed $35,000.

Notary & Commissionaire Services

A Commissioner is an individual who is appointed by the Government of Ontario to witness oaths, solemn affirmations, and sign affidavits or statutory declarations. A Notary is appointed by the Government of Ontario with the same powers as a Commissioner but are also able to certify documents to be true copies of the original.
